NaNoWriMo update (very short and amusing)

I had a blinding realization yesterday while trying to meet my nightly NaNoWriMo quota. But before I let you in on my very humorous secret, let me give you a short overview.

16,335 words so far, which is awesome except I've gone COMPLETELY off the reservation. Don't know how it happened, but I guess that's what I get for writing without an outline. I was seriously considering bagging the whole thing except it's too late to start something new and, despite my better judgment, I can't help being curious about what's going to happen next.

I may, in fact, be writing a book about pudding.

That is awesome. I LOVE pudding! Does this particular pudding have any magical powers? Just curious. If not, and you need a boost in word count, you might want to consider it. ;o)

I love pudding too. :)Can't say for sure yet re: magic powers of said pudding, since I'm just along for the ride on this one. But I'm pretty sure it isn't your ordinary, garden variety pudding! It's defifinitely the weirdest thing I've ever written.

Pudding is good. Any particular flavor? I prefer butterscotch. Mmm.

Tapioca?

Yes, there will be butterscotch and tapioca. Pudding of all varieties will be represented!

I don't even like pudding and I'd read it. But this sounds like the kind of thing that isn't going to repair your reputation at CFI. Food, food, food!

Lol, Melanie. I've given up on the idea that I might ever write anything non-food related. Can you tell what I think about all day? In fact, it's 3:00, and right now I'm contemplating a trip to the vending machine. Too bad they don't have pudding!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with pudding - either eating it, writing about it, OR reading about it.

I just read books about a Lemon Tart and an English Trifle lately, and they were totally tasty. I'm sure your pudding book will be too!

:-D

What this world definitely needs is more books about pudding! :) I'd be curious, too. Let us know how it turns out!

All I have to say is if you are going to write another book about yummy food, pudding or otherwise, maybe this one could have a recipe at the end... and I don't mean, buy jello... add milk! :)

I'm rather fond of pudding myself (though not half so fond as I am of cupcakes!) I wish my Nano count were as high as yours, but after days of trying to figure out how to ease the next bit into place, my lovely friend Danyelle pointed me in the right direction and I'm chomping at the bit. Maybe I'll finish the book someday after all!

I bought pudding mix this afternoon, literally just two hours before reading this.

Having a total Twilight Zone moment now. Creepy!
