It's here. We have it now.

Finally got my copies of Santa Maybe on Tuesday, and I had every intention of updating my blog that very night, but life's been a little nonstop crazy for the past few days. It's funny, but I've been thinking the book was coming any day now for so long that when it finally did, it was just the teeniest bit, well, dare I say... anticlimactic.

Maybe I'm just having a hard time trying to get hyped about Christmas in October. Anyway, I was thinking that I needed to do something to crank up the excitement level, and what fosters more good will and hoopla in general than a giveaway, right?

So, I'm giving away one brand new crisp copy, straight out of the box. All you have to do to be entered to win is leave a comment on this post about one good thing that happened to you today. Having had a somewhat miserable day myself, I felt I needed to be reminded that there are still nice things happening in the world. Yes, it's all about me tonight. :)

I will be drawing the name of the winner next Thursday at exactly 8:05 PM and the lucky person will be announced at this very location some time on Friday. (At which point I promise to be a good deal cheerier.) Don't miss this chance to get your free copy. If you are one of the five or so intelligent people who read this blog, you know that small numbers = odds definitely in your favor. It's easier than shooting fish in a barrel!

Ooo! Oo! Pick me!

We ate Arby's tonight. I had a mozzarella stick, a roast beef 'n' cheddar, and half of a philly sandwich. MUCH better than my cooking so that was the highlight of my day.

I was able to go shopping and eat with my older sister today. It's been a while since we have done that and I don't know why we don't do it more often. She always makes me laugh so hard and remember all of the good times we have had. Sometimes all you need is a good laugh :)

How fun! And although I rarely win anything, still I can try! Let's see, the good thing that happened to me is that my daughter and I went together to the Jordan River Temple, as we do every week. We are both crazy busy, but we set the goal and we encourage each other and just do it. Yay! And it is always worth it.

P.S. And I like your idea, I think I'll do the same on my blog. Only I need to wait a few days, because I just barely wrote a new post. (Do I get two chances since Iwrote two comments heh heh)

I got called on in Property Law, which would normally have been a scary thing except the case I was supposed to discuss was one I was passionate about. So calling on me backfired on the teacher, because I had free reign to spout off. It was great! ;)

I broke my toe. Oh, wait. Something good that happened...

My 6-year-old came home sick from school. Wait. Not that.

Um... It was not over 100 degrees outside today. Definitely a good thing!!

If I win, will you autograph the book for me with the inscription of my choosing? 'Cause I know exactly what I want you to write in it!!

My husband called and said he'd be home late tonight, maybe not until 9. He surprised me and came home at 8. He still has to do some work from home, but I'm glad he got to see the baby before she went to bed. And I'm glad we're not home alone, even if he is in the basement glued to his computer. I hate when he has to work weekends, but at least he's home now.

Happy moment of the day: discovering lifesavers lollipops only have 5g of sugar. Woot!

Oh wait...you want something grander than that?

Oooo! Had my appointment with the OB and it was all good news and no nasty bad news and this little girl will be here first week of November. Yay!

I had a great day today!! Sorry yours wasn't so great! I had to work a 12 hour shift today but I ran really good labor and I know that that doesn't mean much to you, but for me it means I get to have short days this month!! PARTY TIME!! We still need to eat cake!! Love you lots!!

It was only about 90 degrees today- that is a really good thing. I also got to take a LONG nap after work, and I found a web site that has a bunch of toy coupons on a friends blog, and I love coupons.

And you thought only five people read your blog! Um, don't enter me (cuz you know why), but I'm super stoked for you. And it's never too early for Christmas. Because however early Christmas starts is how early you can start eating chocolate peppermint bark guilt-free. Just sayin'.

Aubrey,

I want to be just like you when I grow up!!! I will tell you about my yesterday...I canned 6 bottles of apple pie filling from my tree (I haven't canned in over 10 years!). I took a plate of food (including homemade potato casserole) down to my daddy at 8:00 last night because he hadn't got himself something...gosh, I sure miss my mommy!

Melanie said "Christmas" and "romantic" and "comedy" all together and that's one of my favorite combinations of words (which I didn't realize until I read it on her blog) so I'd love to be entered! Sorry getting the box was anticlimactic. But congratulations! (I hope you at least had a cake or something to celebrate.)

Um, today? Well, not much has happened of note. Maybe I started getting excited for Christmas way too early. (but you know how happy that feels, right?)

The best thing that happened to me is that Melanie pointed me to your blog. I'll add you to my roll right now!

My husband came home for lunch and saved me some leftovers so I wouldn't have to eat a peanut butter sandwich. It's a good day :)

One good thing that happened to me today: The baby slept a whole two hour nap! She hasn't taken very good naps lately, because my three year old is loud and wakes her up. So this was an awesome thing that happened.

The only reason she woke up after two hours is because I had to pack her up to pick up her big brother from the bus stop.

Can't wait to read your new book... and hopefully win it. :)

Melanie sent me over here. Hi!

My baby won't fall asleep even though she really needs a nap, and she's screaming. Oh, wait, did you say a good thing? Well, I just ate a piece of homemade fruit leather and it was delicious.

I look forward to reading your book when I win. :)

I would love to read your book! So would my 4 avid reading children. Some people say they have trouble keeping there kids in good clothes, well I have trouble keeping my kids in good books. Happy thing of the day-All the kids at school and I am gong to take a nap. Also my daughter, Lily (7yrs) lost her first tooth. You have Melanie to thank for introduceing me to your blog.
